Donald, DDS, who founded his private practice right here in Lake Charles in 1977. Dr. Donald’s leadership set the tone for our legacy, establishing a practice built on compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to patients.

When Dr. Donald retired in 2018, Dr. George seamlessly assumed leadership and continued our patient-centric ethos. Driven by a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the values instilled by Dr. Donald, Dr. George has carried on his legacy that has defined our practice for decades. This unwavering dedication to compassionate, patient-focused care has established George Family Dentistry as a premier provider for dental care in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.

As we continue to grow and evolve, Dr. Donald remains an integral part of our identity. His principles and dedication to patients serve as a guiding light, influencing every aspect of our practice. Dr. Donald is now happily retired with his wife Mary, but the legacy he built with her by his side is evident in all aspects of the patient experience at George Family Dentistry today. Dr. Donald’s enduring impact inspires us to uphold the highest standards of dental care, promising a legacy that stands the test of time.

Meet Dr. Matthew George, DDS

Dr. Matthew George

Dr. Matthew D. George, D.D.S. is also a native of Lake Charles. He graduated from Barbe High School in 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU in 2008. After spending over 2 years working as a dental assistant at Barksdale Dentistry in Baton Rouge, Dr. George attended the LSU School of Dentistry and graduated in 2014. Upon graduation Dr. George received several honors. He was named the most promising general dentist in the 2014 class by the Louisiana Academy of General Dentistry. He was also awarded a scholarship to continue his education at The Pankey Institute for advanced dental education.
